Florida Keys Kayak Rentals, Guided Tours, State Parks, Snorkeling in the Florida Keys, Fabulous Sunsets!
Kayak Shack" offers the best kayaking in the Florida Keys for many
reasons. We are nestled in a tropical place known as Robbie's
Marina. We have the best access to two historic state parks, Indian
Key and Lignumvitae Key, as well as plush mangrove trails and tunnels.
From first timers to the experienced, the Kayak Shack offers guided tours.
For those who want to explore at their own pace our 1/2 or full day rentals
are the way to go. We will set you up with
a quality Knecky or Wilderness kayak and all the equipment needed.
We love first timers. Everyone receives pre-launch instruction on safety, our equipment and the environment.
Back Country Tour
Our most popular day trip. We will paddle through pristine mangrove canals to enjoy the spectacular views and wildlife that Florida Keys kayaking has to offer. The tour lasts about 2 hours. This is your chance to get up and close with the lovely creatures of the wild! View photos taken aboard here.
Indian Key Snorkel State Historical site Tour
Pack your snorkel gear and cooler, and head for Indian Key State Park. Both first-time and experienced paddlers find the 20-minute paddle to the island very enjoyable and easy. Beach your kayak and explore the remnants of the old wrecking colony destroyed by a surprise Indian attack. Tour includes walking and snorkeling the key. Tour lasts about 3 hours.
A beautiful relaxing paddle through mangrove tunnels and saltwater flats seeing Mother Nature at her finest during this Florida Keys sunset cruise on a kayak. Embark 2 or 3 hours before sunset. Breathtaking! Perhaps you will see the fabled Green Flash while out there!
Lignumvitae Key Botanical State Park
Visiting the Matheson House on Lignumvitae is like stepping back in time. The house was built in 1919 and reflects how island people lived during a simple time when most of their needs were met by the land and sea around them.
Paddleboard in the Florida Keys
For those who prefer a "stroll" over a normal sit-down kaying experience, paddleboarding is the answer!
